On November 16, 2011, CSU Police [and Long Beach Police, looking on] violently corralled, beat, pepper sprayed, and slammed unarmed students against walls and onto the ground; as they protected the individuals inside who voted, 9-6, to increase CSU tuition by 9%. Mainstream news, as expected, painted a different picture, portraying socially conscious students as disorderly, deviants and criminals. This album is dedicated to my peers who were arrested today for standing up for justice, and the few who walked out of class [amidst midterms] to do the right thing. “The whole world is watching”
